PDF 2020 Cancelled

To our PDF Dance Family:

Last week we all had a chance to examine Saskatchewan’s Re-Opening plan. It has been a relief to finally have a structure for the coming months instead of a short term week-by-week outlook.  For the PDF 2020 Board of Directors, this information has helped us examine all options for our 2020 festival.
The Board has come to the conclusion that we will be unable to host PDF 2020 this year due to the continuing need to restrict mass gatherings for the foreseeable future.  Please contact your home studios regarding refunds after May18th, 2020.
While this decision comes with sadness, it is our sincerest hope that by cancelling and refunding fees that we can support our dancers and allow focused preparations for a new dance season in the fall.
We continue to thank our participating families and community for the support that has been given year after year. The dance community has a strong foundation in the Parkland, and we can be confident that PDF will return as strong and vibrant as the people who make it come together.
As soon as conditions allow, rest assured that the planned dates for PDF 2021 will be announced so that we can properly celebrate the 15th Parkland Dance Festival!

From the dancers to the volunteers; the instructors to the dedicated dance parents: we the Board of the Parkland Dance Festival wish everyone a happy and healthy summer. See you next year!

To the Members and Patrons of Parkland Dance Festival 2020:

Together as a community, we have been following the rapid pace of events regarding COVID-19.  Every day we see new developments and updated recommendations from those whose job it is to protect our collective wellbeing.

We, the PDF 2020 Board of Directors, are fully committed to abiding by the directions of the Saskatchewan Health Authority and the policies of the Good Spirit School Division which govern the use of our venue.

At this point in time, it is not possible to hold PDF 2020 on the planned date.  Therefore, we have decided to implement a ‘wait and see’ approach. In two weeks, the situation will be reassessed and an update regarding the status of the Festival will be provided.

We thank you for your patience.
